    Fantastic Hotel

    We stayed at Kelawai which is conveniently located between two huge shopping malls. This hotel has a good spread for their buffet breakfast. The room is spacious and toiletries were special. Pool is on the top floor and small. Rooms are spacious and nicely fitted out - Beds are super comfy and that bathroom. Shower stalls are spacious, water pressure perfect and nice range of amenities to complement everything. Do note that upon check-in, a deposit will be deducted immediately from your credit card (if used) - it will only be credited approx. 14 days after check out.

    Impeccable Service

    The hotel is new and classy. The location is very strategic. Situated in between the Paragon Mall and Gurney Plaza. Just a 3-minute walk from the hotel lobby to the gurney plaza. Staff were great, always a smile and friendly greeting, answered all my questions and did everything they could to assist. Early check-in at 12 pm and got the room immediately. The process of checking in was smooth and fast, around 5 minutes. Was even given an upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. We were even given ice cream during check in. Such a sweet gesture. The room was luxurious, spacious and very comfortable. Room was clean, no issues with cleanliness. Soft bed and pillows. I also love the shampoo scent. There is nothing to complain about this 5-star hotel. The facility, the service. It's almost perfect.

    A Modern Hotel

    My husband and I stayed at this hotel from 5 June to 12 June 2018 during our sightseeing trip to Penang, which we had visited before, but that was a very long time ago. We had booked a hotel car to pick us up at the airport. But we had to wait helplessly for over half an hour at the exit of the departure hall before the driver turned up. This is the first time in all our overseas trips having to wait for a pickup car. We were then led to a car parked at a car park just outside the departure hall and we noted that the engine was cool. The driver had obviously arrived at the airport a long time ago but had been otherwise engaged elsewhere, leaving us waiting helplessly. We later found out that the car did not belong to the hotel but to a sub-contractor to which the hotel had sub-contracted the hotel pickup service. There is plenty of room for improvement. We had booked an executive room online directly with the hotel. Unfortunately, we were given a very small room with defective air-conditioning. Fortunately, the manager on duty by the name of Fahmi and his colleague by the name of Faiz were quick to come to our rescue. We were quickly relocated to another room (a bigger room known as executive suite) with good air-conditioning. More fortunately, there was no more problem for the rest of our stay at the hotel. Apart from Fahmi and Faiz, we also have Lito at the Executive Lounge to thank, all for their professionalism, good service and hospitality. We have just 2 more recommendations for improvement. First, the water supply for the shower appeared to be unstable. The water pressure was insufficient. The water was sometimes hot and sometimes cold. Second, probably because of a lack of demand, the food choices at breakfast at the Executive Lounge was very limited. That was not a problem. But we suggest that the few available dishes be changed more frequently. For people like us staying for 7 nights, the food became boring. This is a 5-star hotel.
